I walk past this giant pirate on my way to the beach. If I’m walking to the beach to run he makes me wanna charge! But I was a good little girl today and didn’t try to replicate my fast little 5k on Thursday.
Instead, my goals for this run were to 1) keep a consistent pace 30 seconds slower than Thursday’s run, 2) stay relaxed and 3) enjoy the bit of the morning that was mine to be free and fast and strong.
I managed to do all three. It helps to have a giant pirate cheering you one, of course.
